• Expand Program Reach to Communities – AFSP delivers 40+ prevention programs through its network of 73 chapters based in every state nationwide.
• Increase Investment in Research – AFSP is the leading private funder of suicide prevention research, and invested $5.5 million in new research in 2020.
• Advocate for Mental Health Legislation – AFSP has almost 34,000 volunteer Field Advocates across the country who meet with local and national legislators on behalf of important legislation related to suicide prevention and access to mental health care.  With the help of AFSP advocates and donor support, 27 new bills became state law.
• Provide Support to Suicide Loss Survivors – AFSP provides resources to those who have lost a loved one to suicide, to support and aid them on their healing journey. This past year, with the help of donors like you, we hosted 417 Survivor Day events in more than 26 countries.
