The Supreme Court did this in the middle of the night last night. We need your help to respond.
I’m frustrated, friend. The Supreme Court decided to uphold Texas’ six-week abortion ban.
They did this in the middle of the night.
They did this without holding a single hearing on the ban’s constitutionality.
And the five conservative justices that rubber-stamped Texas’ extremist law didn’t even write their name on the opinion explaining why they allowed it.
Let’s be clear: This was the green light on the most severe restriction on reproductive rights since Roe v. Wade.
Democratic Attorneys General won’t stop fighting for the right – and access – to a safe and legal abortion. And DAGA won’t support anti-choice, anti-reproductive rights candidates.
We will keep you updated on what Dem AGs and DAGA are doing to protect the right to an abortion.
Thank you for joining us in this fight,

P.S. You can read Emily’s email from yesterday about why this moment is so important below. And we promise to send any updates we get about how Dem AGs are fighting for reproductive rights across the country.

Subject: I am outraged at today’s news out of Texas, and I won’t stand by.
Friend,
I am outraged. Late last night, the Supreme Court failed to strike down a new Texas law that bans abortions at six weeks, effectively giving the green light to the most severe restriction on reproductive rights since before Roe v. Wade.
I am scared and heartbroken for everyone in Texas who suddenly woke up this morning without legally protected reproductive autonomy. I am terrified for the future of reproductive rights, and I am more determined than ever to protect the most vulnerable members of our communities and let every Texan know that we will not leave them behind
DAGA was the first political committee to only support pro-choice, pro-reproductive rights candidates, and we stand by that commitment today and every day.
Republicans have already rigged the courts to advance their extremist agenda.
We cannot afford to let them rig our democracy as well because the health and safety of women, transgender men, and non-binary individuals across our country – and particularly within communities of color – depends on it.

Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
