MULLIN'S RIDICULOUS PUBLICITY STUNT PUTS AMERICANS AT RISK

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK, September 1, 2021 – Despite strong warnings from the State Department not to enter Afghanistan after the Taliban takeover, Republican Congressman Markwayne Mullin (R-OK) decided he was above the law and attempted to move a large sum of money into Afghanistan for a so-called “rescue effort.”

“Republicans continue to think that they are above the law and their acts are exceptions to the rules,” commented Alicia Andrews, Chair of the Oklahoma Democratic Party. “This latest performance to circumvent Tajikistan’s laws is the second attempt for Mullin to enter Afghanistan after the Pentagon denied his initial entry.” Read more...


MINORITY LEADER ISSUES STATEMENT ON SB658 INJUNCTION

OKLAHOMA CITY — House Minority Leader Emily Virgin, D-Norman, released the following statement in response to Oklahoma County District Judge Natalie Mai placing an injunction on Senate Bill 658.

NICHOLS SEES FDA APPROVAL AS MILESTONE IN FIGHT AGAINST COVID

OKLAHOMA CITY — Rep. Monroe Nichols, D-Tulsa, released the following statement encouraging Oklahomans to get vaccinated and highlighting the significance of the FDA’s full approval of the Pfizer COVID vaccine.

“The speed the medical and scientific communities have moved to create and provide this vaccine to the American public has been historic as well as lifesaving,” Nichols said. “More than half of eligible Americans have been vaccinated.
