This is an urgent moment when Democrats must end the filibuster, expand the Supreme Court, and protect abortion rights.

Justice Democrats

John, late last night, the Supreme Court allowed the restrictive Texas abortion law to remain in effect. It’s the most restrictive abortion law since the passage of Roe v. Wade in 1973.

This is a crisis moment for reproductive freedom and health in America. We said as soon as Democrats took control of the Senate and President Biden took office, that Democrats needed to end the filibuster, pass legislation to protect the right to safe and accessible abortion, and expand the Supreme Court. We agree with AOC:

Republicans promised to overturn Roe v Wade, and they have.

Democrats can either abolish the filibuster and expand the court, or do nothing as millions of peoples’ bodies, rights, and lives are sacrificed for far-right minority rule.

This shouldn’t be a difficult decision.

We are continuing our push to end the filibuster as the critical first step to expanding the court and passing a slew of urgently-needed legislation, including a law protecting everyone’s right to safe and accessible abortion.

We are also committed to electing Democrats who will fight for these urgent actions because the Democratic establishment hasn’t taken the clear steps necessary to protect abortion rights and avoid more disastrous decisions from the Supreme Court.

Can you chip in $3 right now to fuel our advocacy to end the filibuster AND our campaigns to elect more Justice Democrats to Congress? If Democrats fail to end the filibuster, our only hope is to transform the Party and elect a new generation of working-class progressive leaders who WILL take the bold action our times require.
