It wasn’t so long ago that people who believed in and advocated crazy or dangerous conspiracy theories were called “crackpots,” but in 2021, they go by different names — GOP congresswoman, and Fox News host.

Last night, two of them, Tucker Carlson and QAnon conspiracy theorist Marjorie Taylor Greene, got together to smear Adam.

That’s right — Tucker, Marjorie Taylor Greene and their other pals on Fox are going after Adam for promising to be thorough in his investigative responsibilities, and suggesting he must be “sick” to do so. Only in Trump world is living up to your constitutional duty “sick.”

Let’s take a step back and see the kind of people we are dealing with. Greene has called for the mass execution of Democrats, including Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.

She has claimed the mass shootings in Newtown, Connecticut and Parkland, Florida were “false flags.”

And Carlson just returned from Hungary where he was applauding the would-be dictator of that country for eviscerating democratic institutions and extolling the Hungarian “model.” Tucker has also repeatedly called on Adam to resign and be charged with crimes — like any good dictator would do.

Greene is not only fast becoming the face of the modern-day GOP, but she espouses the kind of propaganda that Fox increasingly wants to spread. And her racist, Islamophobic, and anti-Semitic comments have given a voice in Congress to the most extreme right-wing groups in our country. She is proud of it.

Greene’s spread of Covid-19 misinformation and election conspiracies has raised her nearly $5 million dollars in her first 6 months on the job. Like it or not, she’s here to stay — and she’s got the funds to help elect more like-minded individuals in the midterms.
