At midnight last night, the Supreme Court allowed Texas’s extreme abortion law to go into effect. 

Texas’s new law prohibits abortions after six weeks. Most women don’t even know they’re pregnant at six weeks, so this is a near complete ban on abortions in the state.

This is a draconian attack on women’s rights, yet the Supreme Court ignored calls last night to issue an injunction before the measure could become law. 

If they don’t act now, they could open the floodgates for other states to put similar laws in place — giving far-right state legislatures a roadmap to effectively overturn Roe v. Wade and undermine a woman’s right to access safe and legal abortion care.

But the Supreme Court could put an end to all of this by blocking this dangerous abortion ban.

That’s why I’m asking you to add your name to my petition calling on the Supreme Court to immediately block the Texas anti-abortion law. They cannot sit by as far-right state legislatures attack women’s reproductive rights.

This is part of an ongoing, aggressive, and coordinated attack on reproductive freedom — and that’s why it’s so important we hold onto our Senate majority and expand it in 2022. 

A Republican Senate led by Mitch McConnell would continue trying to gut abortion rights and rush to fill our courts with anti-choice judges.
