Hi John,
Beginning today, Greg Abbott’s abortion ban takes effect in the Lone Star State, threatening the lives and safety of millions of Texas women. This legislation is the most extreme abortion ban in the United States of America, and a direct attack on our freedom to make our own decisions.
Make no mistake about it, this bill is a targeted attack on low-income Texans and people of color who are disproportionately impacted when resources are removed from our communities. To make matters even more heartless — the nation's most severe ban includes ZERO exceptions for cases of domestic violence, rape, or incest.
In Greg Abbott's Texas, "freedom and liberty" only belong to those who vote for him. If your payment info is saved in your FastAction account, clicking on the links below will process it immediately: For a political party that is currently fighting vaccine and mask mandates that would protect citizens from contracting COVID-19, hypocrisy doesn't begin to describe what's happening here in Texas.
Greg Abbott and Texas Republicans have no shame about gambling with the health and safety of millions. They're in a mad scramble to see who can rile up the Trump base vote ahead of a primary season that has pushed them further away from the values that unite us as Texans.
They left us to die in a freak winter storm. They left us to die in a pandemic. They are trying to kill your voice at the ballot box too.
Stop the slaughter in Texas. Help Democrats prepare to fight back in a big way in 2022.
Sincerely,
Marc Veasey
Growing up in Fort Worth’s historic Como neighborhood, Marc Veasey didn’t dream about being an elected official. He just hoped that he would one day be able to make a difference in the lives of his friends and neighbors. That simple goal has taken him all the way to the halls of Congress, where he is proud to represent not only the friends and neighbors he grew up with but hundreds of thousands of diverse voices across North Texas. |
