Overnight, the most restrictive abortion ban in the country went into effect in Texas, banning abortions at six weeks. This abortion ban is a dangerous attack on women’s reproductive rights and economic freedom.

But it doesn't stop there – across the country, GOP-led legislatures, including in New Hampshire, are passing dangerous legislation restricting access to women's health care like contraception, cancer screenings, and abortion. And in a few weeks, the Supreme Court will hear a direct challenge to Roe v. Wade, a case that could completely gut the right to choose.

The right to abortion and contraception is a matter of personal autonomy, economic freedom, and health. Roe v. Wade has protected a woman's constitutional right to make their own health care decision for decades, and we must continue to protect this critical precedent.
