Today one of the most extreme abortion bans in the country went into effect in Texas after the Supreme Court refused to take emergency action to block it. Starting today abortion will be banned after just 6 weeks of pregnancy, making it virtually inaccessible for millions of Texans.

Reproductive rights are under attack like never before, friend. Despite the fact that the vast majority of Americans support the right to choose, we've seen Republican legislatures from New Hampshire to Texas pass record abortion bans this year. The terrifying reality is that with a conservative majority, the Supreme Court is no longer a backstop we can count on to protect Roe v. Wade.

Let me be clear: Politicians have no place standing in the way of private medical decisions between people and their doctors.
