The summer months are not an easy time for campaigns to raise money. But, while many campaigns struggled, our team of grassroots supporters stepped up to the challenge and exceeded expectations. And for that, I am incredibly grateful.
But now, it’s time to look forward and take action.
Restrictive abortion bills are being introduced and passed in state legislatures. While many have been held up in court for blatantly violating Roe v. Wade, Texas has managed to sneak through SB 8, a heartbeat bill that took effect this morning.
We have to take action now to put a stop to this campaign to control reproductive health. Will you join me and sign on to help us stop this bill and support reproductive rights?
The Texas abortions ban is the first one of its kind, financially incentivizing citizens to turn in providers of abortions after 6 weeks, well before many know they’re pregnant. This is not only immoral and wrong, it’s unconstitutional, and it puts millions of people in danger.
This problem isn’t only in Texas. The anti-choice movement is using bills like this one to bring to the Supreme Court with the goal of overturning Roe for good.
This threat must be taken seriously. If we don’t do something now, Roe could be overturned and the future of reproductive rights in this country could be over. Add your name to support the fight against SB 8.
