I want to take a moment to say 'Thank You'. Your support enabled us to reach our August fundraising goal late last night and stay on track to build a strong campaign to protect our majority and keep up the fight for progress for the American people.

Just today we saw the Supreme Court's decision not to act to prevent a new extreme Texas law from going into effect that will effectively end the right to choose for women in Texas, even in the cases of rape or incest, and open the door to private legal action against doctors and individuals who advise women on their health care decisions. This result is the culmination of Republicans' single-minded campaign to erase a woman's right to choose.

When Mitch McConnell and Republicans stole a Supreme Court seat from the American people by blocking President Obama's nomination of Judge Merrick Garland, they did it exactly for this purpose. Just as their aggressive push last fall to rush through the nomination of Amy Coney Barrett despite the fact that we were just months away from another presidential election.

And make no mistake about it -- this situation would be even worse if Republicans had won the Senate majority last year. We cannot afford to let our guard down in 2022. We must protect and expand our majority to protect our democracy and the democratic values that we hold dear.
