This is frightening, Team. Late last night, the Supreme Court let the most extreme abortion ban in the country take effect in Texas. Gov. Greg Abbott’s egregious law prohibits abortions as early as six weeks – before many people know they are pregnant. It also allows private citizens to SUE anyone who helps people access abortion – and collect a $10,000 bounty.
This is a blatant attack on reproductive rights and freedoms, and with a 6-3 conservative majority on the Supreme Court, states all over the nation are pursuing similar policies. We could be just a few months away from them overturning Roe v. Wade entirely. In many states, Democratic governors are the ONLY firewall against extremist conservatives who have declared war on Roe v. Wade.
Protecting reproductive rights for everyone is one of the most important issues we face. 7 in 10 Americans agree that abortion should be legal. But with it under attack in Texas across the nation, and Roe v. Wade hanging on by a thread, we want to know your thoughts. We need 675 responses from reliable Democrats in DC before 11:59 p.m. tonight – but right now we're missing yours. Please tell us now:
Do you support Roe v. Wade?
