John -

Women in Texas effectively lost the right to choose this morning.

At midnight, Texas’ radical abortion ban went into effect after the Supreme Court failed to act.

The case is working its way through the judicial system, but rather than block the radical law until the case could be heard, the courts have effectively allowed a ban on abortion in Texas.

It is a worrying sign that the Supreme Court could roll back abortion rights by overturning Roe v. Wade and decades of precedent.

This is dangerous — especially for marginalized groups including communities of color, low-income families and the LGBTQ+ community.

Congress must take action. These are difficult, personal decisions, and they should not be made by politicians.

This is a real and urgent threat, and we need to make our voices heard on this.

Will you sign our petition to say it’s time for Congress to codify Roe v. Wade into law? We need everyone in our fight to protect reproductive rights. >> [link removed]

I stand in solidarity with those working hard to fight this radical abortion ban.

This is why we need to elect senators who will stand up for reproductive rights, and I promise you can count on that from me as your senator. I will always fight for justice.
