I am at a loss for words, John.

Last night, Texas' abortion ban went into effect after the Supreme Court refused to stop it.

Now, 90 percent of abortions in Texas will be illegal. Millions of women -- disproportionately Black, Indigenous, poor, and LGBTQ+ -- will be unable to get an abortion after six weeks. To make matters worse, this law also provides financial incentives to everyday citizens who turn in women and abortion providers for any violation. This is designed to intimidate and will have devastating impacts on women's safety.

This clear violation of Roe v. Wade is the most egregious assault on abortion rights in decades and must be stopped. As Co-Chair of the Congressional Pro-Choice Caucus, I'm ready to fight back.

John, defending reproductive freedom isn't a spectator sport. We can't let disgusting violations of Roe v. Wade, upheld by the radical anti-choice Supreme Court, further embolden anti-choice extremists. We must come together to pass bills like the Women's Health Protection Act to make radical abortion bans illegal on the federal level.
