New ways to help students respond to hate effectively...

Dear John,

We have exciting news to share!

We are combining ADL’s expertise with Hillel’s deep relationships on campus in a new collaboration to empower Jewish students to fight the disturbing rise in antisemitic activity at colleges and universities.

This collaboration fills a vital need. Many Jewish students are not fully equipped to respond effectively when they encounter hate in a university environment.

The new joint effort will provide a single unified incident-reporting mechanism that will help ensure students receive the support they need when they encounter antisemitism on campus as well as new educational programs and assessments of the climate on campus for Jewish students.

How the new partnership will help students

“Jewish college students are increasingly subjected to antisemitism today, both on campus and on social media, and are urgently seeking support and tools to effectively respond,” said Adam Lehman, President and CEO of Hillel International.

Hillel International is also working with ADL on a key panel at Never Is Now, ADL’s annual summit on antisemitism and hate. This panel hosted by Hillel will allow you to hear directly from college students and educators about how to identify and confront antisemitism on college campuses. Never Is Now will be held virtually this year from Nov. 7-9, so please register early to be sure you don’t miss panelist announcements, this session and others at the largest annual summit to fight antisemitism.

These new projects combine the ADL community and Hillel’s vast network to reach more than 400,000 Jewish students in North America and hundreds of thousands of Jewish students overseas. Together, we will help ensure that Jewish students feel safe on campus and are able to live and study in environments free of harassment and hate.

Sincerely,
