Hi John,
The California Recall Election is officially in full swing! As we speak, voters from across the state are casting their ballots to determine the future of California’s democracy and clean energy future. If you are one of the many voters who have already raised their voice at the ballot box — congratulations!
If not, don’t worry. There’s still time. By submitting your mail-in ballot this week you’ll ensure that your voice is heard and your vote is counted!
As you determine your vote, allow us to highlight the top issue you’ll be facing. The main provision you’ll need to consider is:
Question 1: “Shall Gavin Newsom be recalled from the office of Governor?” (Yes or No)
This means:
- If you vote “Yes,” you’re voting to remove Gavin Newsom from his position as Governor of California.
- If you vote “No,” you’re voting to keep Gavin Newsome as Governor of California.
It may seem simplistic, but it’s very important to clarify this distinction! Many voters may consider a “yes” vote supportive of the current Governor — as in “yes, I support him!” What it actually means, is that you support his removal from office. As you prepare your ballot, please take a moment to share these resources with your community so everyone's voice is heard properly.
Remember, this is an “off-year” election in September, so it’s very possible that this election will be decided by a small percentage of Californians who follow through and make themselves heard at the ballot box. Don’t miss your chance to guide the state to a cleaner, healthier future — return your prepaid mail-in ballot today and track its status online.
Submit your mail in ballot and show your support for clean energy and climate progress that will guide the U.S. to a cleaner, safer future.
Thank you for standing with us,
