I know many people are feeling scared and angry right now. I am too.

Overnight, a Texas law went into effect that bans abortion six weeks after pregnancy — before most people even know they’re pregnant — because the right-wing Supreme Court refused to take up the case.

Make no mistake: this uncompromising ban is dangerous. It allows complete strangers to sue abortion providers and anyone who assists in an abortion — from driving someone to a clinic or helping to pay for one. It makes zero exceptions for rape or incest.

Roe vs. Wade has been the law of the land for nearly fifty years — but now more than ever, far-right Republicans are working to strip reproductive rights and bodily autonomy from millions of people.

It’s never been more important to raise our voices and fight back against this attack. If you’re with me, sign your name to demand our government — from Congress to the Supreme Court — protect the right to safe, legal abortion.

Whether you live in Texas or Ohio, this reckless attempt to gut Roe v. Wade is a direct threat to every American’s right to safe health care.
