At midnight, Texas’s extreme abortion ban went into effect after the Supreme Court refused to act.

Now, all abortions after six weeks—before most people even know they are pregnant—are banned in Texas.

And that’s not all. This law punishes not just abortion providers, but anyone who helps a person access abortion. This means friends, spouses, and even ride-share drivers could be sued.

This cruel decision by the Supreme Court shows just how critical every election is. If Donald Trump didn’t win in 2016 and appointed radical judges to the Supreme Court, Roe v. Wade would still be protected.

We need to work harder than ever to protect abortion rights by electing overwhelming Democratic majorities who are willing to do whatever it takes, including expanding the Supreme Court to STOP the dangerous conservative majority.
