When we organize, we win! Eviction moratorium in New York State has been extended to January 15, 2022, and an additional $30 million has been won for rent relief.

We will be celebrating with Housing Justice for All coalition next Thursday, September 9th at Local NYC! RSVP here.

More than 800,000 households statewide are behind on rent, most of which are low-income people and people of color. But with this victory, they have protection from eviction through next January, and the rent relief aid can cover up to 12 months of unpaid rent, three months of future rent and utilities.
