This headline is just outrageous. This country has a real problem.
...A white supremacy problem.
Over the past four years, we've seen the rise and disgraceful fall of a “president” that openly spouted racist and spiteful rhetoric, empowering racists hidden in plain sight. A "president" that responded to an attempted coup with nothing but a wink and nod, while responding to our peaceful protests in the name of Black lives with National Guard troops equipped with assault rifles, shields, tear gas, and rubber bullets.
The fact is, Republican values and racist values go hand in hand. They court one another to empower and elevate the values that
they hold near and dear. Just last month, Republicans at the Conservative Political Action Conference cheered as Trump spouted more lies -- lies that have consequences -- just as we saw back in January.
Trump may not be in office anymore, but the many white supremacists he's called to action and supported will stop at nothing to take away the freedoms of Black people everywhere.
John, our message is clear as well. We'll keep fighting and voting because Black voices matter, and our votes matter too. Will you support this fight by contributing anything you can?

With a record number of 17 states passing 28 new restrictive voting laws, Black voters
everywhere have been targeted. Trump and the Republican party's message is clear: They don't want Black people voting, and they'll stop at nothing until they succeed.
White supremacy and racism do not deserve a voice in our government, and they certainly don't deserve to be in the halls of Congress as if they had nothing to do with the attempted coup.
That's why we're doing all we can to elect those dedicated to Black liberation -- because white supremacy hasn't slept in a very long time, and won't unless we work to get it out of our systems of democracy.
Trump may be out of office, but his minions in Congress remain loyal to him. Will you please contribute $5 or whatever you can so that we can build on the work Black voters did in 2020 and elect our people?
In love and solidarity,
Black Lives Matter PAC
