With just hours before our midnight fundraising deadline, we wanted to share a sneak peek into our ActBlue fundraising:
That’s our average contribution during the month of August. Our grassroots movement is built on thousands of individuals like you pitching in $14.77 or whatever you can afford, whenever you can. And the fact that we’re able to raise as much as we do just one $14.77 donation at a time is a testament to the size and strength of the movement we’ve been building since Alexandria’s election in 2018.
Grassroots donors put her in Congress, and grassroots donors keep her there. Your support made it possible for Alexandria to introduce the Green New Deal, fight for an infrastructure package and budget resolution that meets the moment, and so much more.
But our next test is raising $120,000 before the end of the month. It’s been a slower fundraising pace than we expected in August. But if we can reach that goal, we’ll be in good shape to fund the work we had already planned to support AOC’s re-election and work in Congress.
We divided up what we need to raise and our typical contribution size. If we can get just three more people from the 19125 area to chip in, we’ll hit our goal before midnight. What do you say?
