Did you see this, team? Governor Walz is right. We can’t back down from these dangerous attacks on science and public health care workers.

Minnesota Republicans are putting the health and economic security of our state at risk for political clout. They must be held accountable. And that starts with hitting tonight’s goal. The GOP is one election away from turning Minnesota into Florida.

We’re just hours away from our deadline and still need to bring in just over $2,000. Will you pitch in $10, $25, $50, or whatever works for you right now to help us make up the difference?

Thank you,

Team Walz-Flanagan

Team,

You may have seen the news already, but several prominent Minnesota GOP legislators spoke at an anti-vaccination rally on the state Capitol lawn this past Saturday.

During their speeches, they peddled conspiracy theories and leveled appalling attacks at public health workers who have spent the last 20 months putting their lives on the line to keep Minnesotans safe.

MN GOP Senate Human Services Chair Jim Abeler even called for the removal of Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm – an exemplary public servant whose work has saved countless lives during this crisis.

GOP candidate for governor Scott Jensen also spoke, echoing the same COVID-19 misinformation that has caused him to face multiple social media bans.

It’s shameful that, even as the delta variant continues to spread, Minnesota GOP leaders would still rather fight my administration and me than COVID-19.

I wish I could say I’m surprised, but I’m not. The fact-free politics of Donald Trump are now the norm for anyone looking to score political points in the Minnesota Republican Party.

We can’t stop our opponents from spreading misinformation, but we can show them that we will not back down, which is why I’m reaching out this afternoon. I just spoke with my campaign finance director Berrett, and he let me know we’re still more than $6,000 short of our goal ahead of tonight’s deadline.

Can I count on you to help us make up the difference? Pitch in $5, or whatever works by 11:59 pm, so we can make sure Minnesota continues to be a place where we trust science and put people before politics.

I’m grateful,

Tim Walz
