As Covid cases continue to increase due to lack of action on the part of Republicans, Kevin Stitt's appointed cronies are embarking on a frivolous civil rights investigation into Oklahoma's Department of Education. The reason? Because school districts have decided to do the right thing and require masks to be worn indoors in order to help prevent further spread.
Here's the story.
In response to questions about why they're attempting to sue our own schools, Stitt's Comms Director said this: "President Biden shouldn't spend a single second harassing states like Oklahoma for protecting parents' rights to make health decisions for their kids."
We've had over 7,800 new Covid cases since last Friday. We cannot allow the failures of science-denying Republican officials to hurt our kids any further.
