I'll be straightforward, folks. I’m asking you to chip in a few bucks to my campaign before our August fundraising deadline tonight.

This campaign means a lot to me. It’s not just about winning this open Senate seat.

It’s about making sure my kids grow up in a country that gives each of us a fighting chance at the American dream.

That means making sure their school buildings are soundly built and fully equipped, and that the teachers in those buildings are well-trained and well-paid.

It means continuing to provide tuition-free public education after high school, ensuring that they have the skills to succeed and innovate in a competitive job market.

And it means making sure that when they put in a hard day’s work, they’re earning every cent they deserve.

Look, my worst nightmare is my kids growing up and asking me, “You were in Congress. What the hell did you do?”

I’m running for Senate to create the best future I can for my kids, your kids, and every kid from every hard-working family in this country.

But Republicans are already flooding this race with millions of dollars, and I can’t win this seat without your support. So that’s why I’m asking: will you chip in $5 before this crucial fundraising deadline hits at midnight?
