I've gotten the chance to meet many of you on the campaign trail, but for those I haven't, I wanted to tell you about who I am and why I'm working on this race.

I've spent the better part of the last decade doing community and electoral organizing. One thing I learned quickly is that campaigns that are able to actually engage the community and figure out the issues that matter most have a clear edge.

That's why I'm such a huge supporter of Marisa. When she asked me to join her campaign to engage new and infrequent voters in the Central Valley, I jumped at the opportunity.

I know 20-year veteran public school teacher Marisa Wood has that clear edge I mentioned with the voters in the Central Valley -- not least because I live here and know how terrible Kevin McCarthy is -- but because restoring real power to our community is long overdue.
