Dear John,
Just a few days ago, we were (anxiously) waiting to find out if Texas’s drastic abortion ban, known as SB8, would be allowed to take effect on September 1. So much has happened since then in this case: the hearing we were promised was cancelled, and the reproductive freedom legal team is now fighting their way through a legal labyrinth, doing everything they can to prevent SB8 from taking effect.
While this moment is grim, we WILL NOT give up on the abortion providers, advocates, and abortion funds finding every way possible to provide abortion access to those who need it. And we certainly won’t give up on those who are seeking abortion care in Texas and beyond.
John, I know so much is going on in the world right now and that it can sometimes feel like too much. But your support right now -- no matter how big or small -- will make a world of difference to the Texas abortion funds who are on the ground helping those in need [[link removed]] . Your contributions can be split across nine abortion funds doing urgent abortion access work across the state. Abortion funds provide financial support, important information, and unwavering compassion to those seeking abortion care -- and are also among those targeted by SB8.

Also, please share the Need Abortion [[link removed]] site widely, which provides critical information about where those in Texas can access abortion care, receive funding support, and get their questions answered.
Finally, join the Trust Respect Access Coalition [[link removed]] wherever you are on Wednesday, September 1, at 12pm local time to protest the restriction of abortion access in Texas.
Thank you for all that you do,
