Hi John! Nate here, Mike's Finance Director. Before I ask you to chip in $3, here's an update on our end-of-month fundraising efforts:
Based on our report this morning, fundraising has actually trended down over the past couple days. That's not too uncommon in August, but if it continues, we may need to start making tough decisions about our budget that could impact our ability to defend Mike against inevitable attacks. Not exactly the news I wanted to deliver today, but it's the truth.
Truth be told, it seems a lot of people we talk to are underestimating the threats against Mike's seat in 2022. Take it from us, this election will be just as competitive as the last two -- if not tougher.
As you know, the party in power (us) historically loses seats in midterm elections. Trends like these are hard to overcome, which is why we need to start defending Mike earlier than ever:
