Friend,
In just a few hours, we'll be closing the books on our August fundraising.
It's been quite a month for our climate: This weekend, Hurricane Ida made landfall in Louisiana, devastating huge swaths of the state, including New Orleans. We just lived through the hottest summer on record. And the UN just released a report on the state of the climate crisis, calling it "code red for humanity."
If you've been thinking about investing in climate action, now is a great time to do it. Will you chip in $5 or another amount before midnight so we can finish the month strong?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
This legislative session, we passed the Climate Commitment Act and other historic laws to bring down emissions and reverse the course of this crisis. I'm proud that Washington state is serving as a model for the rest of the U.S. on what bold climate action looks like.
As a supporter of this movement, you should be proud, too.
But there's so much more urgent work to do, and our ability to do it swiftly and decisively is only as strong as the movement behind us.
So with our official deadline just hours away, I'm humbly asking: Will you chip in $5 before midnight to invest in the next phase of climate action?
As always, thank you for staying committed to the fight for our shared future. I couldn't do this without you.
Very truly yours,
Jay
