Last week Governor Lamont had to be escorted out of a back-to-school event in Cheshire after being mobbed by angry anti-mask protestors, and police were called to a Fairfield Board of Education meeting due to disruptions from unmasked attendees.

Meanwhile, Republican activists fueled by right-wing media have secured school board election spots on November’s ballot in towns like Guilford, New Canaan, and Glastonbury — and this is just the beginning.
