Some politicians are telling us now isn't the time to speak frankly about Afghanistan. As a 13-year Marine veteran who served 3 deployments in Afghanistan and Iraq, I'm not surprised.
I spoke on MSNBC yesterday about the people now saying we should have stayed in Afghanistan. Those same people have been saying one more day, one more month, one more dollar for 20 years… It was all lies.
The truth is that lies from the war-hungry Washington elites already cost us 20 years, over $2 trillion, and the lives of nearly 2,500 American service members. But they are still asking for more.
No. It's over. It's time to invest our money, blood, and sweat into our own country. We need leaders who will fight for that. It’s why I’m running for U.S. Senate.
