My heart is filled with emotions looking back on the progress we’ve made and the challenges we’ve faced this month.
John, let me start by saying: Thank you.
My heart is filled with emotions looking back on the progress we’ve made and the challenges we’ve faced this month.
At the beginning of this month, so many of you went out and joined me at the steps of the Capitol where we stayed for five days to demand justice for the millions of families who were at risk to be forcibly removed from their homes — in the middle of a worsening pandemic.
Together, we raised up our voices until Joe Biden’s administration took action to extend the eviction moratorium. I want to make this clear: this victory wouldn’t have been possible without your support, John.
But August wasn’t all about the victories. Our collective goal is to save lives and it became urgently clear this month that there’s still so much work ahead of us to fulfill this mission.
Late Thursday night, the Supreme Court blocked our eviction moratorium. But if they think that’s going to stop our work to keep people housed, they couldn’t be more wrong. Because we’ve continued working on legislative solutions from the minute we won the eviction moratorium, and we’re not going to stop until we win.
The challenges we face are tremendous, but I know that together, this movement has the power to move mountains.
John, if you're with me in this work, I hope you’ll consider contributing $5 or anything you can so we can continue moving mountains and pushing for the urgent policies our communities need. Our team is racing to hit a critical fundraising goal tonight and I know that if we all chip in a little bit, we can pull this off in time.

Thank you for all of your support.
