Hi,

Pro-war voices in the Senate are pushing to add billions more in Pentagon
funding.

The Biden administration requested only a 1% increase to the Pentagon
budget. But the Senate wants a $25 billion increase. Why? Because warhawks
in Congress would rather throw more money into America's war machine than
spend money addressing climate change or the pandemic.

Progressives in Congress are launching a new effort to stop this -- but
they need our help before a key vote this week.^1 Can you speak up now?

The US already spends more money on the military than the next 11 largest
defense-spending nations combined. Right now we need to focus on battling
the pandemic, addressing our devastating climate crisis, and humanitarian
solutions to problems around the globe. The last thing we need is to
expand an already bloated Pentagon budget.

Thankfully, the Senate can’t act alone. The House still needs to sign off
on this massive budget increase. That’s where you can make a huge impact.
When activists like you speak up to your Representatives, it provides a
powerful incentive for them to listen.

You can send Congress a clear message: we need funding to address the
pandemic, climate change, and humanitarian solutions, instead of lining
the Pentagon's already massive budget.
