Tonight’s fundraising deadline is more than another check on the road to Election Day 2022, John xxxxxx.

It's a pivot point between two stark realities: the state of our country on this day one year ago, and the place we might find ourselves by the end of August 2022.

This time last year, Donald Trump was in between impeachments and providing little direction during an unrelenting global pandemic. Republicans in Congress acted as if he could do no wrong -- and we were completely fed up with their lack of leadership.

Fortunately, just a few months later, Democrats swept both chambers of Congress and made Joe Biden America's 46th President — but we had to outpace historic Republican turnout to bring new leadership to Washington and start the work of rebuilding and repairing America. And if we plan to keep control of the House and Senate after 2022, then we need to organize now. Will you donate $10 to help us do just that?

Now let's quickly look ahead to the end of next August. We’ll be coming up on the midterm elections, and we’ll need to be prepared for Republicans to show up in droves to win back their majorities.

We’re counting on this grassroots team to close this month with the same energy we felt last August. If we don't, 2022 will be that much more challenging because we rested when we should've pressed harder.
