I am touched, truly, by the outpouring of affection from People For’s members for my 99th birthday last month.
Thank you so much to the tens of thousands of you who signed a birthday card and offered your well wishes, and to the thousands of you who took the occasion of my birthday to support the absolutely critical work of People For the American Way with a donation.
It means so much to me to be part of this family of progressive patriots … this multi-generational, multi-racial fighting force for our country’s core values and a future in which the promise of America is made real for ALL Americans.
Our work is as important as it’s ever been. Our country needs us. And it warms my heart that your passion for justice and equality, liberty and democracy, is also matched by a kindness and camaraderie that our country also needs more of right now.
So thanks again. You helped make my birthday very special. I hope to be fighting shoulder-to-shoulder with you for many years to come!
