Rep. Lee Zeldin, NY-01
Lee Zeldin was born and raised on Long Island. He grew up in Suffolk County and graduated from William Floyd High School in Mastic Beach, where his identical twin daughters attend school today. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York at Albany and then his law degree from Albany Law School, becoming New York’s youngest attorney at the time at the age of 23.

Lee was then elected to the United States Congress in 2014, representing New York’s First Congressional District, and quickly became a leading voice in America on top local, domestic and foreign policy issues.

One of only two Jewish Republicans in Congress, Lee co-chairs the House Republican Israel Caucus, and serves on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and Financial Services Committee. He also serves on four House Subcommittees, including as Ranking Member of the Foreign Affairs Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations.

Mark has worked hard during his time in Congress, and has sponsored over a dozen bills & amendments that were passed on the house floor – including the largest reforms to Northern Nevada land holdings in over a decade. Meet our new Tennessee State Chair,
Sharon Boreing
Sharon Boreing, Maggie's List Tennessee Chair

Sharon is currently slated as the First Vice President for the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women and currently sits in her fourth year as the Recording Secretary. In 2019, Sharon chaired the Tennessee Federation of Republican Women’s 32nd Biennial Convention. She is the Immediate Past President of the Washington County Federated Republican Women in Johnson City where she was elected to serve for four years (2 terms). The Club achieved number one in the state of Tennessee as having the most members and the highest achievement award a Club can achieve by being a Diamond Award Club. The Club was recognized as the top percentage increase of new membership in the Nation under her leadership. After achieving this award Sharon was asked to prepare and present to the 2017 National Federation of Republican Women’s Biennial Convention leadership work shop. She sat on the Washington County Party Executive Committee for four years, picnic committees and float committees, etc. Sharon previously
held the positions of the Washington County Federated Republican Women, as the Recording Secretary two terms and First Vice- President. Sharon has worked countless hours as a leader and worker under others’ leadership. She has served as a Campaign Manager in four elections locally and has worked polls for the last 12 years.

Sharon has also has served as a ladies ministry co-leader in her church for sixteen years where she has encouraged women in many areas of their life through scripture study. Her and her husband, Forrest have served on mission trips in Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, etc., and taking Bibles into the country of Brazil. In 2013 Sharon served as the Community Lay Director of the United Emmaus Community, a ministry organization of 6000 members and Chaired the board of 22 members. Through the years Sharon has served in most all areas of her local church because Christ is number one in her life. Sharon and her husband, Forrest, have one daughter and one grandson. They live in the oldest town in Tennessee, Jonesborough.
