We’re excited to share with you that it was just announced that Jared is the co-chair of the newly-formed Congressional Coastal Caucus!
Jared has been a leader in the fight against climate change throughout his entire career in Congress, and before that in the State Assembly. He chairs the subcommittee that protects our water, oceans, and wildlife, and he serves on committees focused on preserving natural resources, addressing the climate crisis, and modernizing our infrastructure.
Now more than ever, we need champions who will confront the climate crisis including the serious threats to our coast and ocean. By leading the Coastal Caucus, Jared is building a coalition of colleagues who share these priorities and have the knowledge and experience to advocate effectively for our coast and ocean.

They’ll focus on threats posed by rising sea levels and extreme weather, changing ocean conditions, plastic pollution, and the tragic legacy of decades of dumping toxic chemicals off our coast; and they’ll explore opportunities for our ocean resources and coastal ecosystems to provide sustainable climate solutions.
