As I’ve outlined in my previous emails over the past few weeks, we are very proud of this effort to renovate and create vibrant Community Schoolyards™ around the nation by 2025, and we need your help to remain on target toward the budgetary goals necessary to achieve success.
There is a park equity problem in this nation. More than 28 million kids in America don’t have a park close to home. And in our largest cities, neighborhoods of color have access to 44% less park space per person than white neighborhoods. Creating Community Schoolyards is a cost-effective, common-sense solution to provide new parks to millions of children across the nation.
