Did you get a chance to read my email, friend?

Right-wing billionaire Betsy DeVos will be in New Hampshire TODAY to rally Trump's base against me. Her visit is a clear indicator that Donald Trump and his far-right network are all in on flipping this seat red. From McConnell-linked super PACs taking out massive ad buys in New Hampshire to repeated visits from top Republicans like Betsy DeVos and Mike Pence, this race is shaping up to be the most crucial and expensive Senate race in the country.

With less than 24 hours until our August fundraising goal, Betsy DeVos' visit could not have come at a more pivotal time. My campaign is still $10,581 short, and if we miss this goal, it could tip the scales in Mitch McConnell's favor. That's why I'm back in your inbox to ask if I can count on your support in this critical race. Can you please chip in $5 before midnight tonight to close the gap? Whatever you give will go a long way in a race this consequential. [[link removed]]

Subject: URGENT: Betsy DeVos will be in New Hampshire TOMORROW

Friends –

Tomorrow, right-wing billionaire and Donald Trump's former Secretary of Education, Betsy DeVos, will be in New Hampshire to rally Trump's base. DeVos and her family have donated hundreds of millions of dollars to Republican causes and candidates – and her visit is an unmistakable signal that the Trump Network is laser-focused on flipping New Hampshire red.

During Betsy Devos' confirmation hearing back in 2017, she demonstrated a complete lack of understanding and support for the public education system, and it was clear she was completely unqualified to serve. I specifically questioned Ms. DeVos on whether she would enforce the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. Not only did she refuse to say she would, but she also demonstrated that she was unaware that this landmark civil rights law was a federal law.

I'm reaching out today because it has been my honor to represent New Hampshire in the U.S. Senate, and I’m not done working toward a more robust public education system. But the GOP is already sinking millions into New Hampshire, and this visit will only boost their massive war chest. With top Republicans fully invested in this race, it's bad news for our slim Senate majority.

I only won my last election by 1,017 votes, and New Hampshire’s State Senate and State House both flipped from blue to red last year. If we lose in New Hampshire, Democrats have no chance of holding our narrow majority. I hate asking for money, but my campaign is falling behind our August goal with less than 48 hours until our deadline. Will you please rush $5 or whatever you can afford right now to help us win in New Hampshire and protect our vulnerable Senate majority? [[link removed]]

I'm fighting to give New Hampshire families a brighter future by strengthening public education, expanding the Child Tax Credit, protecting health care, and more. But there's still much work ahead – and if Republicans regain control of the Senate, they will undo all of the progress we've made so far.

I need you in this with me. So please, consider making a $5 donation today. [[link removed]]

Thank you so much.

With every good wish,
Maggie Hassan
