Counties grapple with sustainability of pandemic homeless shelter solutions

Recreation centers were converted into homeless shelters in Montgomery County during the pandemic; but as the pandemic extends those temporary measures, poor conditions at the makeshift shelters are causing concern. Metro has hired Liz Price to lead its real estate and parking arm, an important role given growing interest in transit-oriented development.
