Friend,

My kids are 14 and 16 years old.

Like many parents, when I talk to my teens about their future they are frustrated and scared about how little our leaders are doing to take on big issues like protecting our public lands. Too often, politicians don't just turn away from these problems, they actively undermine our progress because they're in the pocket of big corporations and special interests.

Take our likely opponent Ryan Zinke as an example: As Trump's Interior Secretary, he oversaw the largest sell-off of public lands and oceans in American history. For Zinke, it was all about advancing his own career -- even if it meant destroying our national monuments along the way.

We can and must do better. I'm running for Congress because all our children deserve to see us take a stand and fight like hell for their future.

This is not just about protecting our public lands, this is about making sure high quality healthcare is accessible across our state -- not just a privilege for the wealthy few. This is about more high-wage jobs and affordable housing so Montanans aren't forced to leave their beloved hometowns. And it's about fighting with all our might to make sure young people in our country see leaders and a future they can believe in.

My campaign for the open congressional is Montana's best chance to reject politics of old and move our state and country forward. But tomorrow at midnight marks our end-of-month fundraising deadline and we're still a bit short of the $20,000 goal we set. Will you rush in your contribution of $3 before midnight?

Yours,

Cora
