John,

Last week, Judy helped secure a HUGE win for working families! In her capacity as a member of the Ways and Means Committee, she played a crucial role in advancing the Democratic budget framework -- which invests in people like you.

As a former educator and a lifelong advocate for education equity, she is a champion of the expanded universal preschool and free community college provisions in the recovery package. Advocating for children and families includes advocating for education.

She is also an outspoken proponent of paid family and medical leave. Nobody should ever have to choose between their -- or their loved ones’ -- health and their job; the ability to care for ourselves and our loved ones should never be determined by wealth. Working families need guaranteed paid family and medical leave, which is why Judy is fighting so hard for them.

The budget framework the House passed this week recognizes that working families are the foundation of our country and invests our resources accordingly.

It will be the biggest investment our communities have seen in decades -- but the work isn’t done yet. Judy played a key role in advancing the framework, and she is ready to continue to fight for working families.

Your support makes wins like the ones we saw last week possible. Judy and her Democratic colleagues in Congress are dedicated to building an economy that works for working people.

Thanks,
Team Judy
