It’s Nancy, Mark’s mom here. I just wanted you to hear from me how grateful Mark and our whole family is for your support.

When Mark told me he wanted to run for Congress I was excited — but also worried. I knew he would face incredible challenges as a gay and Asian man in politics.

But since then, we’ve seen so much wonderful support for Mark and the progressive values he stands for. And, you know, I have to say, that means so much to me.

See, our family is no stranger to adversity. When I was young, I, along with my family, was unjustly interned in a Japanese American internment camp.

But we’ve come so far since then. My son even went from a school teacher to a U.S. Congressman! You can’t get more American than that.

But friend, right now Mark and his campaign are worried about a big fundraising deadline coming up tomorrow and unfortunately, they’re behind.

Mark tells me that if they can’t reach their goal, they could lose their race to the type of people who don’t want families like mine in this country.

Our country has been through so much in the last few years. But I know we will persevere and continue progressing forward. Can I count on you to join our fight by chipping in $3 to Mark’s campaign? »
