John -- Trump just threatened to invoke executive privilege to block the House from obtaining documents related to the January 6 insurrection.
Even though President Biden will have final say on whether the information can be shared, Trump and his GOP allies are ramping up their efforts to block the investigation with public pressure using smears and attacks.
Trump is trying to withhold evidence because he knows whatever we find will incriminate him. Republicans want to make sure the American people forget about January 6, but we can't let them. The Democrats we elected to the House are working hard to uncover the truth and hold Trump and his allies accountable for threatening our democracy.
The truth is: Our House investigators are vulnerable -- they've been attacked every day on cable news by the GOP. That's why we're directing our grassroots movement to help them fight back.
