Friend,

Hurricane Ida devastated Louisiana this weekend.

The storm hit right on the 16th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina—making for a timely reminder of all the work we still need to do to achieve climate justice. Our work to defeat the climate crisis is always centered around our mission to protect people. So today, we have a few immediate ways for you to help do just that:

Another Gulf Is Possible Collaborative is a women-of-color-led racial justice org distributing aid to Indigenous, Black, and brown people on the front lines. Donate here: [link removed]

Imagine Water Works helped folks prepare for Ida and is now supporting relief and recovery efforts. Donate here: [link removed]

The Gulf Coast Center for Law & Policy advocates for climate justice in the Gulf South. Donate here: [link removed]

As I write this, half of Louisiana is without electricity, rain continues to fall, and hospitals—already taking on a surge in COVID-19 patients—are struggling to stay online. Any amount you can contribute today will make a difference for folks on the front lines.

Thanks,

Wes Gobar
