[[link removed]]Dear John,

Summer is winding down, but bold action on climate is warming up.

We’ve created a handy action toolkit where you can learn about the climate
crisis and its intersecting issues
[[link removed]] : democracy, gender justice, economic justice, and more. Here, you can go deep on the different facets of the climate crisis, and use
this information to contact your elected representatives all in the same place.

As hurricane season rages on, wildfires continue to burn across the country, and
extreme heat threatens peoples’ lives, we’re experiencing the devastating
impacts of the climate crisis right now. It has become increasingly clear that
bold action needs to be taken in order to solve the climate crisis. One place to
start is by investing in climate and clean energy infrastructure while creating
millions of good paying jobs at the same time.

To meet this moment, to heed the science, and to make good on President Biden’s
promises, Congress must act now to deliver on climate, justice, and jobs .

This week, Generation Progress is once again teaming up with other
organizations, in the Climate Action Campaign, to demand that our elected
officials take the steps needed to rebuild our economy, create lasting economic
opportunity for all, and accelerate the transition to clean energy. Our
ambitious goal is 1,000,000 personal touches to the Biden Administration and
Congress. We want Congress to see and hear the steady drumbeat of constituents
calling for climate investments to be a priority.

The climate crisis threatens to destroy everything we hold dear. This is why we’re asking you to call on Congress to make once-in-a-generation
bold investments needed in a green economic recovery package.
