Tomorrow is our August fundraising deadline and we’re still $2,458 away from our $15,000 goal.
Why is this goal so important? The fundraising goals we set aren’t arbitrary — they’re what we need to ensure we have the resources to keep Ayanna in Congress, fighting for justice, equity, and all of our communities.
One issue Ayanna is leading on: the fight to end the death penalty once and for all. Earlier this month, she joined her colleagues in Congress to send a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland, urging him to prohibit all Department of Justice attorneys from seeking the death penalty. Ayanna has laid out a clear roadmap for the Biden Administration, aimed at abolishing the death penalty on the federal level.
But work like this has made Ayanna a target for Republicans. Conservatives have already spent tens of thousands of dollars this year to spread disinformation about our movement and Ayanna’s work. They’re gearing up for next year’s midterm election — so it’s up to us to do everything we can to fight back.
