In just one day, we need to file our campaign finance reports with the state of Michigan. That means the amount of money we've raised is made public for the pundits -- and our critics -- to pick apart.

I want this report to send a message.

And I want that message to be that we are building a grassroots movement.

That we are bringing people together to build a better Michigan for my kids and for yours. That we have created a coalition that's saying "enough is enough" -- it's time to finally fix the damn roads, to finally clean up our drinking water, to finally fund our schools, and yes, to finally solve the problems so many Michiganders are facing.

But to send that message I need you with me -- Will you chip in just $18 (our average donation) to help us hit our public fundraising goals?

Republicans in Lansing have tried to stop our agenda in their tracks.

They're already planning ways to try and beat us when we run for re-election.

But I'm not going to get distracted. I'm focused on doing what I was elected to do: solving problems for working families.

But I need you, John, to have my back -- to keep building our grassroots campaign.

That's why I hope that you'll help us meet our public fundraising target by chipping in:

Let's do this,

Gretchen
