I’m reaching out to ask you to make a donation to my campaign before the month ends. But first, I hope you’ll give me a chance to explain how your support makes a difference.

The Senate is coming back into session soon, and when we do, our first priority is going to be writing and passing the Build Back Better bill. This is the bill that contains the bulk of Democrats’ top priorities from aggressive action on climate change to paid family leave and child care to universal pre-k and free community college.

Put simply, the Build Back Better plan will change the balance of economic power in this nation. It invests in regular hardworking American families and finally requires billionaires and corporations to pay their fair share.

This would be the most consequential legislation passed in nearly a century, and we have to get it done. The future of our nation and planet depends on our success.

This legislation and moment demand my full attention. This is the work you sent me here to do, and I’m not going to have time to worry about our campaign’s modest fundraising goals.

And the truth is that we’re not on track to reach them right now. So I need to ask for your help:
