I wanted you to hear the news first from me. I have a new opponent who’s able to fund his own campaign and has already given himself a six-figure check to defeat me. In a district like mine, that is bad news — let me explain why:

• With Mar-a-Lago and the Trumps in my district the GOP has set their targets on flipping my seat.

• Redistricting is underway, we know the GOP is going to try to slice into Democratic districts like mine. If we’re not ready to fight back, they could succeed.
