Unless the Supreme Court acts, abortion after six weeks will be cut off for millions of Texans.

This is a red alert moment for sexual and reproductive rights. Texas's abortion ban, called S.B. 8, is one of the most extreme abortion bans this country has ever seen. If it goes into effect, this law will let politicians, neighbors, and even complete strangers sue — anytime someone tries to access abortion in Texas after just six weeks of pregnancy. Six weeks is before many people even know they are pregnant.
The harm this abortion ban will cause will be insurmountable for far too many Texans, particularly for Black, Latino, Indigenous people, immigrants, those with low incomes, and Texans in rural areas who already face significant barriers to care. It's now in the hands of the Supreme Court to ensure Texans won't be denied their constitutional right to abortion.
Planned Parenthood health centers remain open, and Planned Parenthood providers will see as many patients as they can, as long as they can, within the law.
We'll continue to do everything we can to fight laws like S.B. 8 and protect your access to health care — no matter what. We'll be in touch with more updates soon. Please sign your name to say that you're with us.
